Germany clears $1.19 bn in diesel pollution funds for cities

BERLIN: Germany federal government  launched 1 billion euros ($1.19 billion) of promised funding to help municipalities address diesel pollutants but environmentalists doubt the flow will assist prevent bans of polluting cars.
