Govt dilutes stand on mandatory AC cabins for truck drivers

NEW DELHI: The shipping ministry has diluted its in advance stand for obligatory air-conditioned cabin in vehicles for drivers after receiving objections from automobile producers.

Union transport minister Nitin Gadkari had introduced the concept of air-conditioned cabins to offer correct riding condition for truck drivers or even the ministry has vehemently argued for this during a parliamentary choose committee meeting announcing drivers need to have this right.
