New Delhi, January 31, 2019 : Two-wheeler maker, Bajaj Auto on Wednesday has reported an increase of 15.69 per cent in its standalone profit to Rs 1102 crore during the third quarter (October to December 2018) of financial year 2019.
The company’s profit stood at Rs 952.4 crore in the period under review for last fiscal. Company’s standalone revenue moved up 16 per cent at Rs 7,409.36 crore in Q3FY19 as compared to Rs 6,387.64 crore in the same period for FY18. Operating EBITDA for Bajaj Auto was recorded at Rs 1,290 crore.
Mr Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director of Bajaj Auto, said, "Our international performance is validation of our strategy of focus and differentiation. Our unwavering commitment towards building the best motorcycles in the world through design, technology, quality and customer satisfaction have made us a truly global brand." Bajaj's total sales saw an increase of 26 per cent to 1,259,828 in the quarter ended December 31 against 1,001,469 units sold in the same period of previous fiscal.
Bajaj brand is not only The World's Favourite Indian, but also perhaps the most famous ambassador for Make in India initiative of the Indian government, he said.
