New Delhi, February 1, 2019 : India's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki on Friday reported a marginal 1.1 per cent increase in its domestic sales at 142,150 units in the month of January 2019.
The company sold 140,600 units in 2018, Maruti Suzuki informed in a release.
Total sales (Domestic + Export) of the company also moved up by paltry 0.2 per cent at 151,721 units in Jan 2018 as compared to 151,351 units in the year ago month. Domestic cars sales, however, declined by 4.1 per cent 101,865 units as against 106,246 units in January 2017.
On the commercial vehicle front, company's light commercial vehicle dispatch almost doubled at 2,710 units in the month under review witnessing a jump of 92.1 per cent.
Total exports saw a decline of 11 per cent at 9,571 units in January 2018 as compared to 10,751 units in the same month year ago.
